26. Dni, miesiące i pory roku - Days, months and seasons

Let's learn the weekdays, months of the year and seasons.

 
Note: Whenever we add the preposition  on/in/at e.g.  'on Monday' or 'in January', the ending of the noun changes... unfortunately.

In all the pictures you will have the version in grey which shows how the noun ending changes after adding on/in.
e.g.  Wednesday / on Wednesday - środa / w środę

Days of the week - Dni tygodnia

Exercise: Put these days in the correct order:

Exercise: Don't look at the text and tell the days of the week starting from Monday.
 Can you tell them backwards from Sunday ?

mamy – we have
tydzień - a week
dzień tygodnia - a day of a week
dzisiaj –  today (=dziś)
Jaki  dzień tygodnia jest dzisiaj ? - What day of the week is today  ?
Dzisiaj jest....... - Today is ....
Jutro jest ..... - Tomorrow is....

Exercise: Answer the questions and ask your colleagues:

Exercise: Look at the table and say what Adam does on each day and at the weekend

  We have two ways of saying every Monday / every Tuesday -  ' co' or 'w każdy'. The phrase 'w każdy' also changes the ending of some nouns ( A > Ę)
