We've covered already word ' Poproszę' which means ' Please'  or 'Can I have...?'

Let's check what a word 'Proszę' means. It is used in various situations.

1. - (Can I have a ticket, please ? )

PROSZĘ = POPROSZĘ 

- WHEN ASKING FOR SOMETHING,
 PLEASE, CAN I HAVE....? 

 (it means the same, however Poproszę sounds better in this situaiton)

Proszę ( = Poproszę ) piwo.  - A beer, please

Proszę ( = Poproszę) kawę   - A coffee, please

Proszę (= Poproszę ) rachunek.  - A bill please.

PROSZĘ =  MOŻESZ ... ? 

- WHEN ASKING TO DO SOMETHING, 

Proszę powtórzyć.-  Repeat, please.            (= Możesz powtórzyć ? )   (= Może Pan / Pani powtórzyć ?)

Proszę mówić wolniej. -  Speak slowlier, please.   ( = Możesz mówić wolniej ? )  ( = Może Pan / Pani mówić wolniej?)

- Ma Pan Paszport ? - Do you have a passport ?

- Tak. Proszę.          - Yes, Here you are.

- To kosztuje  20 zł.                 - It costs 20 zl.

- 20 zł. Proszę.  ( while giving money ) -  20 zl.  Here you are.

PLEASE COME IN 

Proszę! (=  Proszę wejść !) -  Please come in

(- 'proszę wejść !' is more formal )

- ( someone is knocking on the door)

WHEN YOU DIDN'T HEAR SOMETHING

Proszę ? - Pardon ?

- Gdzie mieszkasz ?    - Where do you live? 

- Proszę ?  Możesz powtórzyć? Słabo cię słyszę.  - Pardon ? Can you repeat?  I  hear you poorly.

- Gdzie mieszkasz ? - Where do you live?

- Ah, mieszkam w Warszawie. - Ah, I live in Warsaw.

• A: To spotkanie jest dzisiaj ? Jesteś pewien ? - This meeting is today ? Are you sure?

• M: Tak jestem pewny. Spotkanie jest teraz. Amerykański klient czeka tutaj na ciebie. - Yes I'm sure. The meeting is now. An American client is waiting here for you.

• A: ....Proszę ? Słabo cię słyszę. Możesz powtórzyć ? - Pardon ? I hardly hear you. Can you repeat?

• M : Spotkanie jest teraz. Amerykański klient czeka  na ciebie. - The meeting is now. An American client is waiting for you.

• A: Ah rzeczywiście. Przepraszam. To jest bardzo ważny klient. - Ah indeed. I'm sorry. It is a very important client.

• M: Szef nie jest szczęśliwy. Jest dość wkurzony. - Boss isn't happy. He is quite pissed.

• A: Chwileczkę. Już jestem gotowa. Już wychodzę. Zaraz będę w pracy. - One little moment. I'm already ready. I'm leaving. Soon I'll be at work.

• M: Ok. Czekam. Do zobaczenia. - Ok. I'm waiting. See you.
